Hi there, I’m Änna!
For as long as I can remember, I have sensed that there is an intrinsic connection between our mind, our body, and our spirit. To me, wellness means nourishing each of those aspects in a way that allows your inner light to shine brilliantly. Helping people figure out what that means for them is the most joyous puzzle for me!
I began practicing yoga in 2001, as a cross-training complement to collegiate soccer, and kept it up as a stress reliever from the world of social work. I underwent my 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher training and began teaching in 2009.
Growing up, I was never really comfortable in the kitchen (the family joke is that I could burn water). It wasn’t until I moved out to San Francisco in 2006 that I started playing around with how to make real, simple good food that was TASTY, all thanks to the bevy of friendly farmers at the markets!
In 2011, I moved back to Minnesota to start my graduate degree in Holistic Health, which fulfilled my dream of a comprehensive education on all things holistic. Favorite classes included herbology and energy medicine! I wrote my thesis on how yoga practice impacts a practitioner’s life off the mat. It was, and still is, one of my proudest professional accomplishments.
In 2014, I started working for one of the world’s leading functional medicine experts, which added an insane amount of research-based knowledge into my wellness toolbox.
I combine my undergraduate skills in social work with the wealth of knowledge I have accumulated since to help you create a balanced wellness plan that allows your inner light to shine so bright people will need sunglasses when they look at you! I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach and I am a firm believer that wellness is attainable for every person that desires it in their life. Let me help you piece wellness together in a way that works for you!

Connecting to my breath and body with some yoga and meditation. Getting out into nature. Hanging out with my family. Spending time with my love. Unwinding with my journal or a coloring book.
